We're still alive. There isn't much activity on DemiTemple because I didn't have much free time. Nothing shocking has happened in the demigod universe, except that the release date has been pushed to February 2009, and GPG has found a publisher for Demigod. Stardock is going to publish Demigod. The reason of the release date change is the beta which is coming this summer. This way, GPG has more time to analyse the feedback. I don't mind waiting 2 more months, because it will pay off!

Recently, the german Gamingwebsite eXp interviewed John "Scathis" Comes, who we all know from GasPowered Games. Ofcourse, the interview is all about Demigod :D. Here's a little preview from the interview
“Demigod” will be released this autumn. What can we expect?
“Demigod” will be something completely new for the gameplayers. The game will be a teambased actiongame, with some RPG- and RTS-elements and possibilities to fight. In “Demigod”, you can find gameplay-elements which seem familiar from other games. But, those elements are mixed together like never before! We also used a new and fresh “over the top” style to design the graphics.
In “Demigod” players can choose different heroes. What about the huge armies, which we got used to, and also love since “Supreme Commander”. Have they been excluded from the game?
No, because the “Demigod”-heroes are able to build their own armies. They can reach a gigantic size, so that the gameplayers don’t have to miss this beloved aspect.

GameTap.com has published a new article which contains some new info. It isn't very shocking, but we get a better description of the Oak, the only general type hero we know of.

The only general-class demigod shown was the oak, a sort of high-tech knight. While he can run around and swing his sword around, as a general, he has the option to run back to his base to build special barracks that will deploy his own troops, troops that he has direct control over as well. A high-level oak player can use his barracks to summon a squad of giants to wreck the map with. Additionally, like other generals, the oak has special "rally to me!" command that will call any friendly units (both summoned and auto-generated) to his side.
The article also states that there will be multiple portals on the map that spawn units to aid the player. The full article can be read here:
